Now that the heat has set in my lifters are rattling like crazy. So I am going to redo my heads with new lifters and I just wanted to know what would be the best choice for a bone stock 400 small block. Along with the lifters I am going to replace the intake manifold with an Edlebrock( I got it used cheap).

Why do lifters go bad because of heat?? I've never heard that in all my years of engine building. If you install new lifters on a used camshaft, you run the risk of wiping out a lobe or lobes. Why would you want to do this?? Is your noise (rattling) something else, maybe detonation caused by low octane fuel???
