    dot 3 or 4 or 5 which one for a 1990

    DOT 4 or DOT 5.1, they can replace the older DOT 3 w/ no problems.

    DOT 5 is silicone and really is only useful in show cars.

    i usually use brake fluid.....in the dot 3 variety
