My friend is considerinjg a 79 K5. I was wondering what came in these. I figure either a 12 bolt or 10 out back and either a 44 or 10 bolt in front. How about T-case? 203 or 205? its an automatic so its probably a 350 or 400 right? and the motor is a 350 with a quadrajet right?

Either a 10 or 12 in the rear and a D44 or 10 bolt up front.
The tranny is most likely a 350 and the t-case could either be a 203 or a 208.
The engine could be either a 350 or a 400 and will most likely have a Q-jet on it.

79 longfleet K10 mostly were 350/th350/203/dana44/12 bolt 3.07 gov lok, atleats ones around here, seemslike mostly vans got the 10 bolt rears in the late 70's, more thna trucks did, i still have yet to see an 80-older K10 with 10 bolt front or rear around here, no K5's left in existence to look under around here so i cant say what my observances are on them..

    good luck
