We went to Ridgeway Reservoir near Ouray and Telluride, cell phone pics so not too great.

And then there was the Mullet Brigade/Redneck Coast Guard, but I'm making a separate post for those characters.

Worked from about 5am to about 1:30ish, then went home and slept for the rest of the day, well, until about 11pm, then back to bed at 1:30 am and got back up at 4am to go back to work.

yeah, that double time was nice too:D

Just got home from 5 days in LA. Spent Saturday the 1st getting there...Sunday was cruising the sites in the am and Venice beach in the pm. Monday was spent all day at Knotts Berry Farm with the family...my wife wanted to open and close the park...10am-10pm...which we did(I'm still feeling the effects from that).

Yesterday got up at O'dark thirty to beat feet to Oceanside, Ca. Planted ourselves on the beach all day...surfed and boogie boarded with the kids...got burnt...ate a lot of Carnival food...yum yum...then watched the fireworks they set off from a barge anchored just off the pier. Didn't get back to the hotel till almost 1am this morning then left for home around 11ish. Just pulled in about an hour ago, exhausted, fried and ready to pass out.

All in all a very good vacation. A definite plus is where we stayed, my wife works for Omni hotels, which means employee discount. 5 days at a 4 Diamond hotel for less than $200 bucks...Awesome. Free Valet...people opening doors for you...everyone calling you Sir...excellent service/food...mints on the pillow(and I didn't even have to steal them). :D
Will definitely be doing it again next year.

Hope everyone else had a good holiday.

    Andy

After aboot 3 hours of sleep, I got up at 6 am to go to the fishing derby (for kids) with my little brother and my dad.

After that, around 10, I went horseback riding with my roommate, her mom, and her little brother for aboot an hour and a half (I'm extremely sore, since I don't ride horses.) That was fun. I've never ridden a horse at anything over a trot, and the mare I was on hauled balls across the field when we got back. I lost a stirrup part way through, and somehow stayed on. My groin hurts.

Then I went to work from 3 to midnight.

After that, it was home to collapse.

Wooh! You didn't get caught in any of those dark clouds in the distance, did ya?

B to C...yeah..I would pass that up either. It used to be we'd get 8 hour holiday pay on top of the cash we make if we work that day...but they stopped that last year....total crap.
