What do ya guys think of 39.5\" TSL\'s and 9\" of total lift?

This is the combo my Jimmy will be runnin by mid August. My 6" suspension should arive tomarrow /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif . I've also done some fender trimming.

Do you guys think 9" of total lift will be enough lift for 39.5" TSL's? Add-a-leaves maybe? Any recommendations are welcomed. Thanks for all the help. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

thats alot of rubber and id say that with a 9" inch lift you shouldnt have to do any fender trimming what is it 6 suspension and 3 body or something? if you do some fender trimming get some fender flares for it but you shouldnt have too i have 33s on my stock blazer and with a 2.5 lift you can fit 35's

to much suspension lift IMO. Everyone has their own taste, but I think 4-6" + fender trimming is juuuust right for 39.5s.

Ya, I currently have a 3" bodylift with a 2.5" suspension. I'm replacing the 2.5 with a 6" Superlift Super ride. Would it be a good idea to run add-a-leaves in the rear and extended shackles up front?

It's gonna be used in mainy mud so I kinda want some height. It'll still only be 6" of suspension though. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I run 39.5" with only 6" of lift with no problems most of the time. Cut the fenders good to do it though. Only hits when really flexing. It mud, it never hits.

Im running 38 Swampers on mine but I am running a 6 and 3 also. Take a look at my pics to see how itll look. I have some flexed pics too. Youll prob need some trimming if you get too flexed up. Mine is trimmed a bit by the PO. In my pics it is flexed as far as it will go w/out removing the front sway bar.

mine is built mostly for mud and all i have is 8" of lift with 39 boggers. im adding more body lift now so i will be able to twist up as much as a stiff 8" spring will. 6 and 3 with minor trimming is more than enough for 39s. especially tsls which for a 39 are fairly narrow.

im running 39.5's and 8 inch lift, and last weekend i rubbed this hell out my Inside fender well so im gonna cut that out like they did on UAV and leave the outer fender on as much as possible and test it on a ramp then cut as neccasary, but you will rub with 9 inch and 39.5's on trails and such but flat mud bogging you wont have a problem,

I am running 36" TSL Radials and about 7" in the front and 9" in the back. The front rubbed like you would believe before I trimmed my fenders and haven't rubbed since. But, if I went with 39.5" it would definatly rub with current fender trimming. The back has not rubbed at all with the current setup. Not sure if it would rub with the bigger tires or not. I am going to trim the back anway when I install the new tube bumper...

i'd say that if that's what you want go for it.

i'm running a 8" lift and 39 boggers with one tons and you gain about an inch after the conversion. i also have the ord shackles in front, but that adds about 1/4 not to noticeable.

with this pic you can see the fender trimming for both front and rear. the front hack job was not enough and i had to cut about 2 more inches from the rear of the front fender.
    8" with 39 boggers

you prolly won't have to cut so much from yours because the tsl is a narrower tire.

Well, I still haven't got my Trailreadys yet, but my spare wheel did come in so I had Discount mount up my spare (39.5) of course I couldn't get home fast enough to slap it on to see how it fit. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif Still have to cut the front fenders, but I will prolly do that after I get the doubler in. But so far Daddy likes! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
