What do y\'all think about the Marlin controversy?

I read over on Jayski's a little while ago that the official NASCAR rule is that no work can be done on the car during a red flag in the pits/garage. Now, he was on the track at the time of the incident so what's up with that? Two, to me it "looked" [IMG] that he was just "moving" the fender to see, not actually trying to get it from rubbing the tire. I'm a thinking that Sterling got the screw job by NASCAR.

I think he should be suspended for the next 4 races. Or banned to ARCA for the next 6 months.. Either would work for me.

That should cover my views on being PC

I loved that comment he made at the end.
Well I seen Dale jump out and clean off his windshield during a red flag so I thought it would be OK.

If you watch his car after the bump with Gordon, smoke was coming from his car. The finder was rubbing the tire and would have cut it. The rule is "no working on the car on a red flag"(as I understand it). I don't he got a screw job, I think he took a gamble and got what he or any one else deserved.

I think it was fair... he'd never had to get out if he hadn't dropped below the yellow line and got nailed by Gordon.... he very well may have been able to skirt by him too if he had simply waited and made a move on Gordon that was a bit more thought out then that one...

yea I agree he broke a rule, and got nailed twice as punishment. I'd think that the fact that he didn't have a shot to win should be punishment enough. the only real good thing he did in the scenario was keep Gordon from winning so a new face could get the chance.
