I've already fixed my junk from the last trip's breakage. Just a matter of loading it up and heading south. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Edit: Just remembered I have to clean out the camper. Been sitting all winter. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif And I might finish the twin stick if I have time...

Well I dont think I'm going unless its just to run around and take pics. (and swap 14bolts with Justin /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif)

My bumpers are done, I have to bolt on the rear bumper, install the gas tank, finish cutting and plumbing the lines, change the oil and filter, add gas try to start it.
I need to get my new core support in and front bushings put in, tighten down all the body mounts, put my inner wheel wells back in for now so I can mount my battery and radiator overfill jug back in place....
THEN, I need to figure out some way to start my cage so I can mount my buckets (Monday I might run over and check out the new scrap pile at the local steel place).
Then the truck probley needs a tune up, tranny filter/fluid change, and it seems last winter I had a ujoint in the front driverside axle shaft popping /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
I'm going to pull the mini-spool from the 5.13 front axle and try it in the rear 10bolt thats under the truck /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

    /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I SHOULD be ready for the June 12th 4wheel parts day though /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

5/15 PM - gas tank is in and lines are connected, Front bumper is mounted /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Just get it good enough to function and GO, weenie. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

As far as my rig goes, I still need to lift it /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif and install the new driver's door, and soft top if possible.

Yer darn right. Even if I have to drive the K5 with a welded rear (having trouble finding a tow rig), I'll be there regardless! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

    I haven't been to Badlands...
Do they have a tough safety check???? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

everytime I've been to the badlands, they have never checked for belt's or cage or anything. It may seem like they are strict but all you really need to do is keep your speed down in the parking lot. Other than that it's not bad. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I still need to install the new wiring harness. Should have it done Monday or Tuesday night. It sucks trying to remodel the house and work on the jeep. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

I think what Troy wants is for you to have a roll cage if you don't at least have a factory metal roof. Looks like you have one, so you should be OK./forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif Doors are definitely optional.

A couple more things to mention: You'll need to either bring a flag, or you can purchase one there. No alcohol in the park - they will check. Don't be late getting out of the park by closing time. Not trying to be a prick, just letting you know in advance to save you some grief. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You just have to get your priorities in order:
    1. Work (to make money for wheelin').
    2. Wheelin'
    3. Everything else, which would include remodeling.
    Problem solved. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Here's the email I just sent dan...

And btw, thanks for the reminder on the flag. I'll get a bicycle flag ...those ones at badlands are friggin $$$$$$$$$ /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Changed out my fluids last night /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif:

    tranny fluid was brown
transfercase fluid was black black with the consistancy of 10W 40
    engine oil was low
rear diff looked good, but I got some shavings out of it again
front diff was low, but looked good with the fingertip test. I put my new cover on 6 months ago. Did not pull it back off.
Got my K&N recharged and back on there.
Front driveshaft has some play in slip yoke, but I should be ok.

Other Projects to complete this week:

    Change out passenger door regulator

    Change radiator fluid overflow tank

    New rear brake lines

Bolt down front bumper....do you have any of those chrome bumper bolts?

Get a flat fixed in one tire

    Modify the front stabilizer mount

Cut out tranny tunnel for shifter to work

    My plans for this week:

    Monday: Fill Oxygen
    Install Drivers trailer fender
    Install Fender braces
    Change radiator fluid overflow tank
    Change passenger side regulator
    Bolt down front bumper

    Tuesday: Pick up trailer
Drop trailer off at Dan's house
Help Dan with all his projects
    Install new inner fender skins
Cut out tranny tunnel for shifter to work
    Modify the front stabilizer mount

    Wednesday: Jaycees Meeting
    Change oil in Prism

    Thursday: Pack for Trip
    Install new brake lines

Friday: May take day off depending on how the rest goes.
