my buddy threw a rod in his 78 and is pretty much fed up with it and wants to sell it. what do you think i should offer him for it? here are the details:

    78 1/2 ton short wide
    no motor
    new th350
    new dashpad and carpet
    2" lift and 33" RVTs
pretty straight except for some minor cancer on the front fenders and rockers- typical chevy rust

Walking up off the street and not knowing the history of it I would be willing to offer $800-1000 for what looks like a nice clean truck needing a motor.

if i remember right he bought it for $2200 at that big truck lot on the north end of Redmond. i helped him install the lift and tires as well as put his part time kit in the 203.

He didnt buy it from Wally's did he? That place goes to Portland and buys all the emissions rejects on auctions. Then jacks up the price after cleaning up the exterior and doing nothing with the mechanicals.

I'd still think about $1000 would be fair for that truck while not running.
