You'd put a non Chevy part under your truck?? That'd be worse than Ford springs.../forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I believe they were called the "350" in the 80's then went to the 3500 for the 1 ton-ers

'74-older will get you a Dana 70 front (closed knuckles and all /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) Dodge Dana 60's didn't enter the picture until '75. I'd bet money on the rest of the info... (if I were a betting man /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

I sure wouldn't scoff at a Dodge D60 though... while its not a perfect fit for Chevy 4x4, it'll go along way in a 4wd conversion project. Do watch for the Dana 61 front (with 3.07 gears) found almost exclusively in non-intercooled Cummins trucks with the 727 3-spd auto... very limited choices for re-gearing.

They will bolt in, but the spring pad width is like 1/2" or so different. The only years Turd, er Ford used the same spring pad width was 78-79 3/4 and 1 tons. But they are getting hard to find, and when you do find them, there will be a nice price tag on it.
