what all goes into putting on a lift kit? step by step.
i am thinking about a 6in lift but i could be pursueded. i have a 83 jimmy and i know a couple of good ole boys that put lift kits on for a hundred bucks all the hardware and a 12 pack. they do a real good job, i saw a truck that they put a 12in lift on. would that be worth it?

The hardest part, at least when I installed my lift, was getting all of the old stuff off. A lot of the bolts required an impact gun and/or heating with a torch to get off. Putting the new stuff on wasn't too bad but it helps to have a friend with a big prybar to get everything lined up and a couple of good floorjacks.
