What gears should i buy?

    I have a 77 blazer 350 with 10 bolt in the front and 12 bolt and the back im currently am running 35 but plan to upgrade to 38's maybe 40's i was thinking about getting 4.11's what do you guys think.The shop said 600 to install it is that a fair price.

    38's or 40's on 1/2 ton running gear isn't a very strong set up, but if that's what ya got, 4.56's would probably be best. Expect to be replacing parts.

    4.56s definitely. I run 4.56s with 35s and an AOD tranny. works great, even with using OD. If you want to go bigger than 35, you should definitely go 4.56. I wouldn't go any taller in a 10-bolt. The pinion gets to be too small. $600 installation is about fair. Around here, best I could find was about $250 an axle.

    i run 4.56 with my 35" ProComp MTs... and every time I climb a hill I am glad I have gears as low as I do. Thanks to having OD, I never run to high of RPMs on the freeway.... if you don't have OD, then a higher gear may be better...

    I would run 4.56's if I were you. I run them with 35's and I love them.
