I don't like the covered light look.

2nd pic down looks good to me.

I'll second (or third...) the clean stock grill over any aftermarket grill. Barring that, the one that doesn't cover the lights is OK...I'm not big on the phantom covered lights look though.

I'd say get a clean stock grill for it. In my opinion all of those billet tube grills don't look right on these old chevys, plus that front end that you've got is my favorite (besides the 89-91 blazer/sub).

Go back with the stock '87 and paint the light surounds to match the light/medium grey of the grill. There are some places that sell the reproduction grill that do not have all of the trim that look good and are really inexpensive. Makes for a clean, stock, and classic front end. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

IMO, there aren't too many aftermarket grills that can top the stockers. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif

anyone know where I can get the full phantom one? I am not a fan of it but my headlight surroundings are broken and I don't like the way they look anyway. Could act as a little headlight protection too.

so am I but do they make billet grill inserts for them? If they do I will reevaluate and probably convert to an 89-91 grill.
