    Isn't that the coolest thing ever? I saw that last year on PBS for the first time. That guy and that story still amaze me to this day. Even just to build that place so authentically is impressive, and all by hand with tools they used way back in the day...but then to live there year round well into his 80's. Dang!!

    It's not like it just gets a little chilly in the winter, -70 F was not abnormal.

    I barely watch TV but I've seen that 4 times on PBS. As soon as I see it I'm glued to the TV.

    I've never seen the first episode so I was wondering why he went up there to begin with. Does it say why?

    He was making door hinges last night, thought that was pretty cool. Wonder what forums he posted on to get that info. WWW. loghomes.com j/k Jim
