I spent a lot of time on this one. Of course, I don't have my new axles installed, but I did get a smile -

That's a nice barbie house. Looks a lot better than one that you could get from the store.

That's nice man! I've been thinking about one for Cate, she's about to where she might not destroy it the first week.

Did you do all of it from scratch or use stuff from a dollhouse supplies place?

Your daughter looks thrilled by the way, what a cutie!

Thanks guys, her reaction made my Christmas. I really didn't want to buy more Chinese crap (no offense to the Chinese) and now she has a unique doll house that I built. My wife and sister both remember theirs, maybe I can pass that on.

No plans really. My wife sketched out what she wanted and I took it from there. Most of it is wood left over from a shelf project. The roof "tiles", windows and flooring are from Hobby Lobby (craft store). The rest is from Lowe's - wood, a piece of corner trim, paint that matches our house, spindles for columns and a lot of time.

That is great, matching your own house is an awsome touch. I hear you on making it for them. I made a play table for my (then) 3 year old last year. If I had bought one it would have been destroyed by now-first thing she did was climb on top of it :)
