    So a couple weeks ago I thrashed the motor in my cavalier. Took the motor out this weekend and this is what it looked like (yep, that's a hole in the block :D ).

    having just gone through one, $2200 worth of machine work and parts, getting 10 miles out of it, fun is an understatement. manual i have said to use blue loctite on the cam sprocket bolts, when it actually needed red. :rolleyes: bolt backed out, destroyed the timing chain and cam gears, and took out all 8 intake valves. thankfully, engine speed was slow enough that it only slightly knicked the pistons. gonna throw another head on it, new timing chain and gears, and get this POS out of my hair.

    jagged, is this the Twin Cam 2.4 or the EcoTec?
