What is a divorced transfer case???

    So how is it connected.. does it have a "driveshaft" between it???

    1.) When the truck was built that way. Power Wagons come to mind.
    2.) With a very big lift. About a foot.
    3.) If you had enough wheel base, like in a long bed truck, you could mount it so both front & rear driveshafts were the same.
    4.) Enabels the use of a 2WD trans.
    5.) Because some people have to be different.

    All pre'67 GM trucks came with divorced transfer cases. I am thinking of using a divorced in my '77 Suburban with 12" of lift so that I can obtain better driveling angles.
