What is a good price to rebuild a TH400???

    I'm new to this whole auto tranny thing and was wondering how much am i looking to spend on rebuilding my "new to me" tranny? I was told by a good frined to save up at least $300 /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif That seems like a lot to me but I have no idea.

    thats actually a good price. i paid that for my last rebuild and that was from a friend that used to build trannys for 30 years.
