It depends on who's selling it. $500-1000 depending on condition isn't unheard of.

The guy who runs the yard has no info on it, I found it in the back of a chevy pickup, all shafts turn nice and the t/case shifts easy, no shifter handle though, he wanted me to make him an offer.

I just saw a TH400/205 combo in the paper for $950. I don't think seperately either one is worth half of that price, even on a good day.

I have paid $250, $300 and $400 for the sets I have. I would offer $250~$300 and see what happens.

'80 marked the first year and they ran all the way up to '91 in the K and V30 1 ton trucks.

Keep in mind, crew cab 205's were fixed yokes, so the slip yoke ones were in standard trucks. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My 86 K30 had a fixed yoke 205 from the factory. What's up with that, Wes? It's a regular cab and had a two piece driveshaft.

A reg cab with a 2 piece shaft? Is your truck a cab & chassis?

Thats what I was wondering, too. I've got an '88 V30 C&C and it appears to have the carrier bearing support for the 2-piece d-shaft. Don't know if the 205 was fixed or slip since it was already gone by the time I got the chassis. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

i never thought of that Tim, it might explain the funky gap between the bed and cab.
