Have seen them for less with alot less miles. I would think for that price everything else should be perfect. It also depends on what you want, I would keep looking. It is always a good idea to look at a few in your area to see prices and conditions. Good luck.

I don't know if it's worth that much. I would keep my eyes open. If you do buy it, talk them down as much as possible, because these things are potential deep money pits. I bought a one-owner, high mileage Blazer (200K) in great shape, but the more I drive it, the more I can see that there's going to be things breaking down on this thing from time to time. High mileage can take its toll on any vehicle. Just thougth I'd throw in my 2 cents.

I got a good deal, but I paid 4800 for an 86 with 188,000, however, he threw in a 350 block with 20,000 on it becuase he was about to put it in but never did. He repainted it with 4 clear coats, it had new breaks, new exuast new tires, and it was inspected... Verry good deal, especially becuase i have a mechanic freind who does not charge me labor to put in the 350. Anyway, the guy restores vehicles, he was doing this blazer for himself, but desided to sell it for what he had in it becuase he got a job down the road and didnt want a gas hog. I aware I got a good deal, however, the moral of the story is, for a blazer with that high of milaeage, a 305, and it isnt even a silverado if it dosnt have pw, or pl, 5000 is definently too much. Make them a lowball offer, Say, you might laugh at me, but i'll give ya 3000, if you dont like it, take my phone number and keep it, if someone offers ya more, sell it to them, if not and youy still want to get rid of oit, you have my number. Maybe say 3000, 0r 3500, but no one else will buy it for 5000 unless they have plenty of money to thrw away. Good luck and look around for others too.

Yeah, that's too much. Check for rust, check everywhere! My bro bought ours(84) for 3K in '92 with only 35,000-40,000 miles on it(cant remember exact number).

I went to the Kelly Bluebook page (www.kbb.com) and put in the following data:

    1985 Chevrolet Blazer Wagon
    Engine: V8 5.0 Liter
    Trans: Automatic
    Drive: 4 Wheel Drive
    Mileage: 180,000
    Equipment
Silverado, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control, AM/FM Stereo, Alloy Wheels

It came back with a retail value of $4,175 IF everything's in mint condition and ready to be sold inspected. You can do MUCH better... and hold out for the 350 egine!!

My brother just bought a similar K5. It is an 85 Silverado, no power anything, a 305 and a SM 465 with a 208 and 10 bolts. There wasn't any rust at all on the body or and has one small spot on the rear floor. Other than that it is very nice and he only paid $1600 for it. The mileage I am not sur eabout, but I know it wasn't much over 100K.

I just paid $1600 2 months ago for my 79 which was untouched with 72000 miles on the 400sb, 203tcase, and working a/c!!! As a matter of fact the only thing I've done to it besides the lift and tires is change out the spark plugs and threw in a accell HEI supercoil. From a dealership never-the-less. Keep shopping for $5000 you should get everything you want or at least close to it. Good luck.

Thats way too much plus all that mileage on a crappy 305, I had a 305 in my first k5 with 127000 on it and that thing ran like crap. Stay away from that one, that things worth about $1000, original owner or not.
