what is my best gear?

    i am puttin on 35 MTRs and i am wondering what would be my best choice of gear size. now i got the stock 3.08s and they just wont do. my ride is more of a daily driver if that helps with advice.

    what tranny do you have if it is a manual or a 250 or 400 i would go with 4:10's if you have a 700r4 go with 4:56's just my .02

    with a 700r4 i'd definetly go with 4.56s. i have a th400, 36"s and 3.73s right now. i'm going to 4.56s very soon.

    4.88 The 700R4 lock up will give you 2154 rpm at 65mph. 4.56 with the 700r4 will give you 1991 rpm. Do you think your engine would be happy cruising under 2000 rpm, I don't.

    But if you went with 4.10 you would be able to top out at about 110 mph, at least mine does with 3.73, 700r4, and 33's. Don't ask how I know this, and don't ask about the jail time nor impound fees. Just that the cop didn't show up on the day of my arraignment and the judge let it go. I am NEVER, EVER racing a camaro again!

    It will rev higher than 1,991 since the tires are not a true 35". Besides, nobody drives 65 on the freeway. Go 4.56
