I've got a 76 with a sb400 factory 4 core radiator and A/C and it takes a 19" fan. In my experiance with these trucks and fans 18" SEEMS to be the more common application.

If you want to move lots of air, try a 76 Cad 500 clutch fan. 7 blades 18" wide and works well for heavy duty cooling systems. Dropped my water temp about 5-10 degrees over stock clutch fan while towing in the mountains.

I bought mine out of a salvage yard in Canada and then put a new clutch from NAPA on it. Past experience with Flexilite fans has not been very good, especially for towing use. They just don't move enough air.
