Re: a quick question about pickups

Let me go double check, I'm going to say 117 inches.

And to my knowlege I'm the only person with a SWB K20, but I made mine. Okay, so there is another one, but he's not on this website!

    Okay, double checked it.....117.5".

Yeah, you're right, there are, some are on this website I'd bet. And it's not a Dana 44, it's a 10 bolt! Gotcha!

I'll measure all that stuff for you tomorrow. I'm going to bed...I might be addicted but 330 am is about the limit.

Wheelbase of a REAL K20 would be 137". Not sure on the overall length as I don't own one.

    On my 73 C20 (duh not a 4x4) It is 212" total.
It would be the same as a 4x4.

Re: a quick question about pickups

Well...that's why I am asking...if I can't find a blazer, i'll buy a pickup, loose the bed, cut the frame behind the spring hanger, and make a flat bed...How long ( " ) would this thing be??

From the front bumper to right behind the rear spring hanger it would be 192".
    My k5 is 189" overall.

this reply ain't gonna help you any but a guy i use to work with has a chevy long bed, or was a long bed, it is now about the size of a blazer. his wheelbase is an inch shorter.

    Chevy
The 192" came from measuring my longbed pickup.
I also have a different rear bumper on my K5.

I got 193, front edge of front bumper to rear edge of rear bumper. My rear bumper is pipe steel, not stock. HTH

Re: a quick question about pickups

Right, 193. But I get 177 from the front bumper to the back of the rear spring hanger. Note: the rear spring hangar is an ORD shackle flip.
