..that is plugged into the engine block between the front two plugs on the driver's side? It's just got one wire going to it.

I only thought I had a knock sensor, which I thought was underneath someplace. The computer thingy is all dismantled, so no point having worthless sensors all over. On the other hand, I want to keep my oil pressure and coolant temp guages. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If this sensor you are talking about is on the driver side near the oil pan rail and about half way back that is the knock sensor. If you are talking about the sensor between the front two driver side spark plugs then that is your temperature sensor.

No, right up top, between the plugs. The wire comes from above.

Just to clarify...that's the coolant temp sensor for the gauge alone.
The coolant temp sensor for the ECM is on top of the intake manifold next to the thermostat. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks everyone. I don't have the silly ECM guage. At least not anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
