What is this part called and what does it do?

    [FONT=&quot]There is a vacuum diafram or something on the firewall with linkage to the throttle. Mine is broken. What is this part called and what does it do?[/FONT]

    uuuuuhhhh...got a picture.......maybe a cruise control canister/diaphram

    It sounds like the actuator for the cruise control.

    That is your cruise control module, i just had to replace mine that broke on me. If your rig is a 90 like your profile says they cost about $75.00. I went to PNP and grabbed one for $22.00. On mine the little hole where the rod hooks to had broke and the rod fell off.

    The part with the diaphragm is the cruise control servo, I believe.
