What motor do i have??

    I need to know what kinda motor i got with the blazer i just bought.the casting # on the heads is 1185024. Can any one twll me what motor this is by those numbers?? /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

    well, IIRC you have "smog" heads. and the heads have just as much bearing on performance as a block.

    but that doesn't answer the question...

    I could not find those numbers at all. Try getting the casting number off of the block on the drivers side behind the head. Might have to scrape off dirt.

    3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4

    this is what i got off of mortec.com. my guess is its the 350. later.

    3970010, it is a standard chevy 350, 69-84 general assembly line truck 4 bolt main and a 2 piece rear main /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
