I just got the plain old cooler in front of the rad. Seems to work fine.

I'm running a Long brand stacked plate similar to the one in the link but bigger. Mine is roughly 12 x 14 or so, maybe a bit bigger, and double pass. It kept my Th400 alive even with constant slipping against the converter trying to crawl 42s with 4.56 and no doubler. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif I believe I heard Stephen talking to someone refer to me as "he is the guy who was trying to burn up a Th400 on Upper Hell with us last year (BB02)" (or something to that effect). /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif That trans and case has now been transplanted into my son’s K5 to run as a daily driver and mild trail rig. Sort of put out to pasture if you will, but still running fine with no burned fluid…

B&M stacked plate for 27,000lbs GVW (something like 13x11x1.5), #6 AN plumbing, an 8" Derale fan w/ homemade mount, and a 160 degree-on temp switch in the line back to the tranny (700R4). Worked fine at BB'03, and no trouble driving over the Rockies. No winter driving for my truck, though.

The big B&M stack plate on in the "Hardcore Racing Parts" section of the Summit catalog..... (28,000 lb?)

Not sure what's so "hardcore" about it, but the tranny stays at around 150 deg on the street and slightly over 180 on the steepest offroad climbs.

Not bad for a truck with "only" 4.10s and 38.5's... no doubler, and a TH350 tranny.
