1st let me say that I have been so busy with work, I haven't been on here much......dam /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. So I might not get to reply as much as I want.
Anyway, I have a 1980 E-350 Van that has been converted to a 4x4 by Pathfinder. It has a 460, auto and one ton axles.
The motor was rebuilt a while ago and runs good. The tranny and transfer case have also been rebuilt recently. It was a work truck that was kept up but the body is in bad shape ( F ull O f R ust D eposits)
I thought of just selling it,
I thought of parting it out,
I thought of turning it into a 16 passenger Moab tour bus,
I thought of taking my old Ranger and making it One Ton 460,
I thought of cutting the body off and making it a camper but I already have one.
So, what would you do? (drive it off a cliff and take pictures does not count! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif).
    /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gifAny ideas? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
Here is an older picture of it Van on the left.

The fact that it's a 4x4 van should override the fact its a Ford. I say keep it and turn it into a 16 passenger Moab tour bus.... /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    I always loved 4x4 vans...

Personally I'd keep it and run it. It would be a pimp tow rig. One ton and a sh!t load of room for sleeping and keeping tools.

If that doesn't interest you, send it my way /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah and air conditioning too! You can see inside through the back behind the wheel well /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
I already have a 89 one ton 4X4 conversion van with a 460, AC, 4 captins chairs, two stereos, color tv, vcr etc. for pulling the Blazer. I actually now have 5 4X4 one ton vans and just bought a new 2003 Chevy Savana 3/4 ton AWD Van for work so I don't really need it anymore.

It's hard to come up with a number. I have dumped so much $$$ into it including 4 brand new Big O tires etc.
That's why I was thinking of parting it out.
It just had it's Holley 780 double pumper rebuilt, new flow master, and on and on. I guess I just need to see what I have put on it new in the last year to come up with some figure. It's really a beast in the snow.

I like the body swap idea personally. I'd do something like a Ranchero body on it sence it's a Ford. Better yet, a 80's Subaru Brat body. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Does it have a low pinion front or high? I know most vans come with a low pinion (at least the ones I've seen). Does it have a D60?
If it's a high pinion D60, just follow these steps:

1:Delete this post as soon as you read it.
2:park the van on a hill (lets it get a run at the trailer)
    3:go to bed

your problems will be solved, no muss, no fuss.

i say you keep it...hack the living hell out of the front fenders, make the backa flat bed, and box the 2 front seats into a cab, and justify buying an atv to haul with it, oh and run 35s...

    Hey Dave,
    Wouldn't it be a Vuggy?

I think you should keep it, or maybe just fish around for a van body in Arizona or something where nothing rusts. Too much cash in those things to just let it fade away.

I guess so! I know I should keep it but....
It cost me over $9,000 to convert my 96 to a 4X4 so that makes it even harder. I wish I had more time & equipment to do that stuff but I don't. Thats why I thought of the camper thingy because it replaces most of the body.
    /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif Still thinking.
So Tim, hows life in TX for you two? I need to call you sometime, just for grins. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
