OK I just picked up another K5 an '82. It has a lift with blocks in the rear. How do I tell if it is a 4" or 6". Can I measure the block in the rear?? Or is there another way? My 88 is still stock height so I can't compare it to something? Since it was a lien sale I cant ask the previous owner.

measure the block in the rear and that will give you a good idea. Most people that only do a small lift like 4 or 6 don't use a combo of springs and blocks they just use blocks for the lift.

Measure from the center of you wheel to some point on the truck and compare it to the same measurements on the stock truck.
