what the heck is a ROCK SLIDER???

    They bolt to the frame (and sometimes the body too) to protect the rocker pannels from rocks.

    <font color=blue>Since they dont crush like the rocker panels do, they allow you to slide over rocks (hence the name) instead of pushing your rockers into the seats and not going anywhere.
