I have to specify QSL for something...What is QSL? It is in regard to a shift knob thread...but I can't figure out what the guy means by QSL...Any takers?

Never heard of that. Google search turned up nothing.

    Who was talking about that?

Never heard of it either. When I go into work tomorrow, I'll take a look in our hardware books to see if I can't find something to shed some light on this.

All my searches came up with a similar theme- QSL seems to have something to do with ham radio operation. I'm pretty sure this doesn't apply in your case, however. Take a look for yourself at Dogpile.com

Well, I tooled through the Machinery's Handbook, which could be considered the Bible of screws, threads and most other mechanical engineering topics and found nothing.

I also did a quick search at www.glossarist.com and again found zilch. As an aside, checkout the Glossarist site, its pretty cool, its a site dedicated to topic specific glossaries.

I figured it out guys...The guy that is building my t-case shift knob put QSL in his e-mail and i thought he was asking for a thread dimension or something...It turns out QSL means "acknowledge receipt" and it was used in Morse code to acknowledge the receipt of information...

Thanks you all for racking your brains...
