I am lookign into buyign a k-5 blazer 1984 and it has twin sticks which seem to be a favorable choice I personally like standards myself but never driven a big truck or a 4x4 for that matter with a standard...the stick says L-1-2-3 and the other says 4-h, 4-l, n 2-h??? Or something liek that i am more curious about the tranny than the t-case i am pretty sure its a 208

Probably an SM465 tranny, supposed to be bulletproof (although the new owner of my old truck managed to blow it). You're probably right, it's likely a 208.

Good luck with it! Driving a truck this big with a stick is a ton of fun.

I think the only way you could ever kill a 465 is to run it with no gear lube for an extended period of time. My 465 has about a million miles on it* and is still going strong.

*actual mileage is much less...but you get the point.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. But a couple weeks after I sold it, my favorite local wrecker told me the idjit that bought it just blew up the tranny and was looking for a new one. A couple weeks later I heard he blew the transfer case. I don't know what this guy did to my poor truck... He's now selling it for exactly what I sold it to him for (and I sold it in great condition)...
Sorry to get carried away, lots of feelings over that...
