What transfer case came with what transmisson between 81-86

    i have an 86 blazer with a 700r4 np208 transfer case the guy that is going to be rebuilding my transfercase and he said that there was two different transfercases that were used between 81-86 and i think it all depended on what transmisson you have someone please back me up with this and does anybody know the exact numbers that were printed on the transfercase i need to know so i can be exact when i buy a used transfercase. I hope i was correct in what i said. please correct me if i'm wrong about all of this

    They all got 208's in the Blazers between 81 and 86...
    They were behind the TH350 (27 spline) the 700R-4 (also 27 spline) and the SM 465 (32 spline)

    The tag on the T-case should say NP208 for model and 2.61:1 low range. There is probably a date code but I don't think that matters too much.
