Anyone know what transfer case came in a 1980 GM 3/4 ton pick up? It had a Turbo 400 in front on it. Not sure of the engine yet. Was it just one particular unit or were there several available for the 3/4 tons?

    Thanks,
    Eric M.

I'm not 100% sure but I think 1980 was only a 205 and that would be the most likely with a TH400.

Actually My 1980 1ton crew cab long bed came with a fixed yoke 205.
I think they had the fixed yoke on the longer trucks with split driveshafts, and the slip yoke 205 on the shorter bed and blazers.
Eric I believe yours should be fixed yoke right?
Or is this not the crew cab?

Yep, my '80 has a slip yoke 205. I haven't had any problems out of it yet /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif.

No, this isn't my truck. I'm looking to buy, but the guy isn't sure if it's a 205 and he doesn't have a digi cam. I was hoping there might be just one kind in a 3/4 ton in 80 and it looks like there was.

    Thanks all,

    Eric M.
