Can anyone tell me what vehicles came with the Rockwell T-221 transfer case? Are they all 2 speed t/c's? I'd like to start looking for one, but now sure what they came in.

    Thanks
    Walter

The Rockwell is stout, but very rare. If you are looking for a stout divorced case that you won`t go nuts trying to get parts for you should go with a NP 200. It is fully gear driven and shares most parts with the non divorced 205.
To find Rockwell t-cases you need to look for 60`s era Dodge, and some early Chevy, and IH 4x4`s. This case can also be found under some mid duty truck that have been converted to 4 wheel for utility, and farm use. I quess you could also check what military cases are available too. You could try Boyce Equipment @ 1 800 748 4269 too see if they offer any military T-cases that would work for you.

Stephan - Thanks for the info. I've already got a couple of NP200's lying around. I liked the T-221 because of the front and rear output yokes being about 4" lower than the input. I didn't realize parts would be hard to get.

    Thanks - Walter

The years for the divorced 221s was 1960-1966 GM 4x4s for sure (I got a '63 GMC with one) and perhaps 1967...until they married them in 1968 or so (not exactly sure of the year). And quit letting the secret outta the bag about 221s being good for doublers!!!!
