What Welding class?

    I need to know what welding class I should take to learn the basics of MIG welding. Here is the list of classes.

    Yes I do, I know the basics. Ive welded before, but I have to take a class so my mom will let me get a welder.

    What you should do is take all of them. Learn it all gas, stick, mig and tig, you never know when one of them will be needed. A community college is a good way to go.

    Yep, I've taken them all at my local community college. I own a MIG, Stick, and gas welder but I took all the classes. Also managed to get certified in unlimited structural plate somehow while I was there...

    Really, I would start with the basic SMAW and GMAW classes. Anything to do with oxyacetylene welding is going to be pretty useless, and learning how to cut with a cutting torch is pretty simple. If you can weld with stick, the mig is gravy. GTAW is more advanced than most people need.
