    ok heres the deal...found a 3+3 crewcab like my other one...its 4wd, everythings there but a little rough, dana60, 14b, 465, 205.

    its got a big block but it doesnt run, something is wrong with it, guy doesnt know what but he said he saw some antifreeze in the oil...

    hes asking 2500 just like it sits...what do you guys think? what would you pay for it?

    I don't know about that price without any detailed pics and without knowing what you're going to use it for(IE parts or DD), but I can tell you that there's a 90% chance that engine is screwed and you will have to replace the long block! Coolent in the oil is almost a sure fire cracked block! You have no idea what else is wrong, probably a cracked rod too to cause such a problem... Bottom line, you will need to replace the engine if you plan on using it as a DD! If you're parting it out, start adding up usable pieces! Just my $.02 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    $2 as in 2 dollars? on a serious note...i thought its probably worth about 2200 or 2 grand...just not sure

    no it wont be for a DD, just for parts or to swap another motor into...

    any idea on what its worth?

    A bad motor means you can't drive it to see what else is wrong. I would show up with $1000 cash and wave that in front of him. Doubtful he wants to spend the time to part it out....

    If its fairly old and has a lot of mileage, then I would think any parts you take off will need to be freshened up. Engine is probably toast, and the tranny/t-case probably aren't too far behind. This stuff isn't gold, I would start at maybe $1500, but sounds like a money pit to me.
