    I've got a 6.2 out of a 84 K5 that I siezed. The oil pump went in it. Anyway, I'm gonna scrap the motor, but I'm gonna take off some stuff first.

    I plan on keeping the heads, injectors, glow pugs, & injector pump at least. I already gave my buddy the water pump as his went last weekend. So, what else would you keep before scrapping? I just don't have room for the whole thing or I'd just keep it assembled.

    yeah starter for sure, i've gone through 7 in one year (coil kept cracking), also the hydro-boost system. you've perty much got the vital components to keep.

    Well, it's only the motor, not whole truck. Ony had one starter and it's in the K5. Same with the fan clutch & hyrdo boost.

    Thanks for the input guys. Gonna finish pulling the heads and other stuff this motor so I can scrap the rest. I nede to get my garage a little emptier so I can start my K5 1-ton upgrade.
