id say if you had the money it would be worth a try but i would also buy a snatch blockwith it as 8,000 is kinda small iv stalled out my 9,000 warn a few times

It looks just like my Mile Marker winch.

Compare it with the MileMarker, Ramsey or Warn and you will see it doesn't even compare. Even harbor freight's 9000lbs winch doesn't compare to the others 8000lbs winches. Save your maoney and get a good one.

Not to bad. But slow line speed. A base M8000 Warn is moving at 8ft/min at 8000lbs load. I guess it all depends on how your going to use it and how often. If it was me I'd save up for a reputable winch. Check out ebay sometimes you can get them pretty cheap.

Hmm, the part about it having a 1/8 HP motor doesn't instill much confidence! Warn used a 2.5 HP motor until just a couple of years ago. Their new winches in that range have 4.5 HP motors. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

between an unloaded line speed of 13 (my warn is 75) and a 1/8 hp engine( warn 4.6) and a very high gear reduction of 210:1 (warn 134:1)....i'd skip it gets such a high rating becaus of the reduction
    IMHO

Looks to me like the Mile Marker is a better deal. It comes with a bigger cable and is slightly faster. It is also 20 pounds heavier. I would get it for the extra $100.
