I am wanting to find a stock fuel injected vehicle fuel tank for my Suburban, but am unsure as to what year fuel injection was first available on the trucks. I'm specifically looking for the 31 gallon K5/Suburban or 40 gallon Suburban tank with all the internal baffles.

If anyone knows and can share this info with me, it would be greatly appreciated as it will help a lot with the junkyard scrounging if I know what to look for.

    Thanks,

    Robb

Not sure about the specific tanks, but '87 was the first year for the TBI fuel injection.

Look for a Tbi engine out of a 87 and up Chevy truck..
87 Throttle body injection became available.. and it's very reliable..

    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

87 was the first year. Some still had carbs though.
