What year is the emission cutoff in Wa. State? In other words, am I going to have to DEQ my 72 K5? If not DEQ, what "governing" body exists that I will have to get all pissed off at when I move to Wa?

    Thanks
    -Ryan

Cars and trucks older than 25 years are not required to do an emissions test.

My last test for the '78 Suburban was last year.

Ok... So, what else is tied to the 25 year mark? anything? Mud flaps? Horns? Lights? Bumpers?

Mudflaps, horn, bumpers and stuff like that are all saftey issues and the only way you can be exempt is if you have a "classic" or "show" vehicle that is driven only on hard surfaced streets in fair weather.

Depends where you are moving in Washington...some of the state does not have emissions testing at all.

Look at a semi truck, they have a braket that bolts to the frame, then a tube that goes into that bracket and curves out away from the frame, makes it real nice for removing the mudflaps when you go wheelin, Cassidy (UNCLE CRACKER) has this, maybe pm and see if he has a pic.

On my '75 k20, there is a little tiny extension that bolts on at the back of the rear fender well - I took this off and made an L shaped bracket - with the top of the L going to the stock 2 mounting holes - than the flap hung from the bottom of the L - it was pretty stout too!

    Does that make sense?

Spokane Stevens and one other county (the one whith Seatle in it) have emmisions testing. Me since i live right at the edge of spokane county im going to be registering my trucks in Pendoriel County. Also when you truck turns 25 you exaust dosnt have to meet the 94 dessibles law either.
