What years used this style of tow hooks? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
starting in 81 (i beleive), its when they chenged the front clip, they also changed the front frame horns.
My '87 has those type of hooks.
Yep, those fit the '81-'91 K- and V-series trucks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
were tow hooks an option..i dont think my truck hasem.
Not real sure on that question. I think it had more to do with the assembly line...where the truck was produced and what line it was made on, too.
Not all the trucks had them. I do believe it was an option if such item was desired, but again like I said, if it was not asked for on the option list, the truck could have came out with them regardless. Just one of those little items that some buyers don't pay attention to I guess.
Wes maybe it was part of one of the packages that chevy put together of options.
do ya want to sell them?
I'm giving the members of our local club a shot at them first. If someone local doesn't bite on them I'll put a ad in the for sale forum next. I got these 10 years or so thinking I'd try and make them work on my 1st gen. But I traded it for my '73 and pulled the hooks out of the garage to mount yesterday and found they didn't match up to the holes in a '73s frame. Found the right ones today and now I don't need these. Thought about using them on the back but I don't see how I could make them work there. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
