Have a pretty good lead on a rustfree Blazer tub from the firewall back, no doors, tailgate, or interior. Anybody got an idea what it is worth, I think the guy selling it might be smokin' some ditch weed!

I paid $800 for one out of Texas, but it was more complete than what you're describing. It had a tailgate, doors, front clip etc. It was actually pretty complete but no motor and needed re-assembly and some small parts to finish.

On the other hand I also picked up a 95% rust free 74 blazer that was a rolling shell for free last year out of San Diego.../forums/images/icons/cool.gif

Was that delivered from Texas to your place? Did you have to go to SAN DIEGO to get the other? I wish I could find a deal like that!

Did you all ready have a lead on them, or did you just go looking at the want ads, or what? I do want to make a wasted trip and not come home with something I can use.

You would think somebody here would have a Blazer body for sale or know of one, or have one looking for a new home and good owner. Somewhere close to Michigan, or willing to deliver it cheap.

Sorry for the late response...I don't check this forum very often/forums/images/icons/blush.gif

I found the truck in TX through the Blazer/jimmy's For Sale forum. It was advertised as a resto that was 80% complete and after some clarifying of what was included and some dickering the price was agreed at $800...

The second truck was offered to me by a member here that had originally bought the truck for parts. I had previous dealings with him and had sent some parts his way on a previous occasion. We ended up having a lot in common and talked quite often through private messages...so i guess you could say it was a friendship deal. I'd say any way you find a rust free Blazer is good...but networking and patience pays dividends! Developing a rapport with enough people here can lead to a deal you might never have found otherwise...

Good luck with the hunt for a good donor!!

Sounds like a bargain at twice the price! But the distance is a little much. Unless he wanted to make a trip to MICHIGAN> THANKS

No tailgate but they threw in the class 3 hitch and 2 side
windows(sliders) for my top. I almost have it back together check it out..... Blazer Project

Looking good! I am jealous, which I could find a body very soon, it would get the same treatment you just gave yours, and a good home besides.

Well I don't know how you would get it to MI but I see good tubs here at Pick n pull every time I go there.
Not sure but I think they would rather sell them for cheap than crush them, thats what they do with all bodies after no one wants them.

Thats the problem, how to get one back here. The transporters want a small fortune, unless I could find some nice guy that needed some extra gas money coming this way to haul it. But having a western rustfree piece to start would sure be nice!
