What\'s involved in my 85\' K5\'s upcoming 3in body lift install

I'm very new here so if this has been asked a million times could someone point me in the direction of the past posts rather than waste bandwidth, thanks /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I would like to know what i have to do other than jack up the truck, slide in the new bolts and blocks, lower the rad and drive away?? Do i have to torch out holes to access bolts? extend shift linkages as i have a 700r4 tranny? what's the best way to extend my filler hose? Help would be much appreciated thanks /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

i dont believe you have to torch no new holes. i am having to extend my shift linkage on my th-350, dont know about your 700, but id say prolly.i did not have to extend my filler hose either. basicly you have to be careful when jacking it up making sure everything is disconnected that can get damaged and stuff is out of the way. watch any electrical wiring. this is at best and safest a two man job.good luck, hopefully someone else chemes in here.

You'll need to extend shifter linkage and remove bottom portion of your fan shroud. Steering column will be OK and your gas filler should be OK. You may need to notch out your floor for your t-case shifter.

im thinking no, but all the info should be in the instructions. to be honest with you i had to replace my column the same time i did my body lift. you may want another opinion on this one.
