Everything is more heavy duty. Bigger carrier, gears, shafts, u-joints, hubs, the housing, bearings, etc... Meaning it handles bigger tires and abuse better!

They're really expensive, and, for some reason, we all want the things we can't afford. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif Oh, and because of what KrebsATMO2 said.

compared to your stock dana 44 or 10 bolt it is almost bombproof.plus they kick a$$ in the strength catagory.everything is beefier than what the stock blazer stuff and can handle a lot more torque and abuse.

They also weigh a hell of a lot more so unless you are running 38" or larger tires you don't need to waste the money.

because it looks sooooo much cuter under my truck than the messed up D44 did /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

things can take a 40" tire no problem. lives pretty well up to 44" without going to CTM u-joints or any other crazy stuff needed to make a D44 live.

a well built dana 44 can handle a lot but even a built 44 cant withstand as much as even a stock 60.but if you are not too ahrd wheeling a dana 44 will last.

What's so good about them, you ask?

They give all the 10 bolters and D44'ers instant boners!! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I have seen plenty of 35's break 44's and 10 bolts. I've even seen a mall cruiser K5 with 33's break a 10 bolt. I would never consider an investment in a dana 60 wasted money! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

im running 35's on 10 bolts now... granted they are not stock due to previous breakage and my stupid idea of repairing them with expensive stuff... but so far... knock on wood... i haven't broken them again... yet....although ive really tried lately... hopefully ill get to go 1 ton before they do break again /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
