Any banks main function is to seperate you from as much of your money as possible. They all suck. I used to work for First Security in Utah, which has since been bought out by Wells Fargo. They were a dishonest employer and leaving there was the best thing I have ever done. It is no cooincidence that Scrooge was a banker.

I'll throw a "me too" on it as well.

ATMs are everywhere and most credit unions don't charge for using them.

Oh, and if you are doing a lot of traveling most of the airlines have credit unions with offices at major airports.

My primary is Military Bank of America. I dont have any problems with them really, everything is free and I am not required to have any kind of balance in it. I use it because I travel a lot and dont like paying to use an ATM. I can use any regular Bank of America ATMs. I had regular BOA a few years ago and remember high overdraft charges and unfriendly customer service. Just dont have to deal with that now.

I also have an account with Navy Federal Credit Union but I dont really use it. I just keep it because they have good rates on their loans.

Navy Fed is good but unless they changed the rules it's not the easiest place to open a new account.
