whats the center to center distance of rear spring perches on 70 blazer?

    need to know if a rearend out of a 70 will fit into a 77? or do I need to weld on new plates on axle? /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

    40.5" -

    The rear end will fit if it is from a 1-ton. If it's not - it's a 42.5" center to center width

    commonly refrred to as 40"

    only same as blazer 69-72 and pre-'73 4x4 and and all 1 ton and all Longhorn models
