What\'s the deal with the brake pedal on the Hydroboost swap?

why do you have to change it? is it only if it came off a deisel rig? can you get by with the original pedal.

yes i've searched and i'm still unclear- maybe it's just me...

I swapped mine onto my 78 from a 80 something deisel truck. I used my 78's non hydraboost pedal and it works great. The hole in the hydraboosts actuating rod is a little larger than the pin on the pedal, which translates to a small about of slop when the pedal is at rest but it still has full actuation. I shimmed mine to correct it but I'm not sure anyone would have known either way.
