I'd go no higher than 3 grand, considering it's a hacked shell with bodywork.
Granted, it'll be sweet when you are done, but since you aren't doing a numbers matching resto, the fact it's an ss396 car shouldn't be an incentive for you to overpay. The 396 would have to be in it to be valuable as such.
The ladder bars worry me a bit.. are you sure the frame is straight? ex drag cars can have issues when it comes to lining up sheetmetal.
Anyway, it's a good score for a project. enjoy.
saveable '67 SS396 car = 1 Left Nut
you dont by chance need an extra testicle do ya? have trailer, will travel.
if it werent a full frame car, i'd agree with ya. but having torn into mutiple drag cars turned street cars, i think it'd be pretty hard to tweak it bad enough that the body panels wouldnt line up with a full frame under it.
hey, at least the louvers are still there. those things are pretty spendy too, hopefully they're salvagable.
It must be pretty close to straight. The fenders and doors are a;; lined up perfect and it's one of the few cars I've seen where the doors close all the way without slamming them. Just took a gentle push.
The only thing bodywise that is hacked besides the hood is the tranny tunnel..not a big deal. And no, I didn't pay over $3k
Looks like it would be worth more than 3 g's to me,but that's my opinion. It doesn't look hacked at all, pretty clean!Good score.
have i mentioned i F%&!#(@ hate you?!
You have done well, sir. I salute you.
And I did not pay over $2500
damn.. ok, now I'm really curious.. you paid 800 bucks, right?
