They have been going down $0.10 every week since before Labor Day out here. It is kind of crazy. I was shocked to see prices go down before Labor Day instead of up like they normally do around any holiday that is travel worthy.

Gas prices have went down here by $.50/gallon over the last 2 weeks. I just got back from filling up my car with Chevron regular for $2.77/gallon

Still amazes me at how gas is made locally here but trucked all over the US and we have the highest prices here, WTF is up with that.

Of course, we ALL KNOW that the government has NO control over gas prices. So, lower gas prices till AFTER the elections is just a coincidence.;)

surprisingly (to pointy-headed intellectuals, not to me) weak hurricane season, excessive supply stockpiles, lower demand due to the summer season ending... and new oil discoveries deperessing oil futures. Add it all up and you get cheap(er) gas.

Politicians only have 2 ways to influence gas prices... lowering/raising taxes on gas and regulating/deregulating the industry that makes gas. Other than that they have absolutely no control over it whatsoever... in spite what X-files-believers would like you to think.

I agree with all points. Now with that being said We're safe for now cause no one is gonna screw with the prices going into November. After that We might see it go back up a bit to keep OPEC happy.

oil prices in freefall...cheaper gas. It's been getting cheaper by the day here as well, although still a bunch higher than in the US. I saw it at 94 cents a litre yesterday. That's down about 22 cents a litre since august.

2.12 here, dropped nearly a dollar over the past two weeks. It crazy and Im kinda scared as to what will result, mainly a huge jump, but Im not gonna complain until something bad happens.
