What's wrong with my colors?

People are making fun of me

I made a php web page to perform an administrative task so we don't have to be manually editing database tables and various files across different systems. Now one click will do all that for you.

I usually use some some style templates from various sources.

But for some reason, I just decided to use my own colors, since it's a pretty simple page, and I wanted to differentiate this page from what they are used to seeing from me.

I didn't want to waste alot of time either, so I just quickly experimented with some colors and choose what I thought looked pretty decent.

It's just a few managers and some administrators here that are using this page, not like it's everyone in the company. Functionally, it's perfect, (as is all my code :p:), but design wise, I guess people don't like it.

So what's wrong with my colors?
(Keep in mind, I am slightly red-green color blind)

That there is what we call 'sh!t-brown-color.' =))

Daltonism, huh? Worked with a lady who had that ... she did network monitoring, and our vendor's software turned object icons green and red when they went up and down ... doh. She had them change the colors to be like the stoplights, green-blue or somesuch.

Anyway, the brown color is nasty, maybe a very light blue?

What IS it about the Smurf camo that bothers people so?

It's not unique, as I stole the idea from somebody here, IIRC... I just like blue, and nothing covers shoddy bodywork (and rust, etc etc) like camo =))

Hey, I like it. I think it's great. I just think brown/purple/pale yellow/green/blue camo would be much better!

I like the blue boy camo really well, reminds me of some WWII camo schemes, as well as some Cold War Ruskie camo schemes! :D

The "burnt orange" and green page is a great way to make it obvious what page you're on. It is unique that way. All the great minds are ridiculed by there peers.............most anyway! :wink1:
